Dr. Gurpreet Singh is a renowned endocrinologist in Ludhiana, Punjab and has been in clinical practice since 2005.

Dr. Gurpreet trained in the United States in Internal Medicine from the Georgetown University Medicine Program at DC General Hospital, Washington DC and cleared the American Boards in Internal Medicine in 2001. He then pursued a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism from UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Jersey (now known as Rutgers University).

He went on to clear the American Boards in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism with a 9th decile score in 2003. These degrees are recognized all over the world as well as in India as equivalent to MD Medicine and DM Endocrinology (in our nomenclature).

After returning to India, he worked at SPS Apollo Hospital Ludhiana for 10 years where he established the Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes at the hospital's inception in 2005. He then went on to Head the Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes at Fortis Hospital Ludhiana for the next 3 years.

Dr. Gurpreet has over 25 years’ experience in initiation and management of insulin pump therapy as well as extensive practical hands-on expertise in continuous glucose monitoring systems. He was the first endocrinologist in Punjab to initiate a fully equipped insulin pump clinic (with diabetes educator, carb counting and bolus wizard training) in the year 2006. He was also the first endocrinologist in North India to implement cloud based Electronic Medical Records with embedded intelligence features to customize patient care on an individual basis.

Currently Dr. Gurpreet is running his own clinic under the name of “Minerva Medica Diabetes & Endocrine Clinic”. The clinic is staffed by a full-time diabetes educator and dietician as well as a pharmacist. All latest diabetes therapeutics including Insulin pump therapy and Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGMS) based diabetes education are routinely practiced in the clinic. The clinic runs on updated state-of-the-art Electronic Medical Records that improves patient outcomes and compliance to international standards of care.

Diabetes, Thyroid and Hormonal diseases such as PCOS are routinely managed in the clinic based on current scientific knowledge that is updated as and when that happens.

The clinic is named "Minerva Medica" after the ancient roman goddess of medicine and doctors.
